Willow and Sage by Stampington

This itch-relief scrub is therapeutic on so many levels. It contains sugar to help exfoliate, oils to help hydrate, and oatmeal to help alleviate any irritation. The ground lavender buds are optional but they do add some spa-like qualities-yes, please.
You Will Need
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- Blender/Food Processor
- 1 TB. dried lavender buds
- Mortar & pestle
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 TB. sweet almond oil
- 1/4 cup avocado oil
- 1 TB. coconut oil softened
- Lavender essential oil
- Bowl
- Airtight jar/Container
To Make
Add the steel-cut oats to a blender or food processor and pulse until the oats have a powder-like texture. Grind the lavender buds into a powder using the motar & pestle. Combine the oats, flowers, sugar, and oils together in a bowl. Store in airtight jar or container.
Great tips, lavender oil scrub sounds so purifying and beneficial for the skin. Ideal to pamper yourself after a long week at work! 💛

Oooo this sounds quite good! Do you use it as a regular scrub, ie. dampen face, then use this gently in circular motions and rinse off? I’ve never made one myself but I was thinking about trying something the other day as I just threw away my last exfoliating scrub. xx

It’s so easy to make scrubs from items you have at home and they don’t have all the chemicals we try to avoid. A real easy one I did a while back was made with honey. I am learning how to live cleaner and share the info a I learn it. You can search honey on my site a find the other face scrub. The oat scrub could be used on face and body.

Thank you! Do you think the avocado oil can be replaced with anything else, or does it need to be that? Just writing my shopping list for the few bits I don’t have at home 🙂

I absolutely love these treatments you are posting up. Am I allowed to make them in my art groups for people living with chronic illness? I will share photos of it with you if I do make it. I am going to re-blog. It is very important that we take the time to look after ourselves and I love lavender oil.

An ideal recommendation to cause different sensations when taking a bath. The weekend waits impatiently. Very good recommendation to soften the skin.

I like to post easy to make treatments each week. If you’re chronically ill something easy is great and the relief is always needed. If not ill, everyone has stress and that isn’t good for your health. I have recently gotten into mask, now days they come off so easy as opposed to the old days of ripping your skin. I haven’t talked to you in a while, hope like is treating you kind. 🙂
