I’ve had an awesome birthday! First off, I woke up today!, that’s always a great start. Friday we adopted a pound puppy, and my husband bought me a beautiful Orchid.
I’m in a great place at 57 and look forward to more fun filled years ahead. Thanks for being apart of my journey.

Thank you for the B-Day wishes. I had a great weekend. I used to celebrate all month but when I got sick it kind of ended there. Not really thinking about it. We always adopt pound puppies and have had the best dogs. He’s three months old so we have a lot of training ahead. We’ve been trying for three months to get a dog but the shelters are out of dogs as soon as they come in. That’s great as long as people keep them when they go back to work and don’t have as much time for. Have a great day.

I agree with as long as they keep them when they don’t have as much time for them. My daughter works at a doggie daycare center and they’re currently open, so maybe that would be an option for them. Celebrating has taken on some new meanings for me these days – celebrating in quieter ways.

I guess that’s more of what I’m saying…more quite. I used to celebrate the whole month and made a big deal out of but these days I don’t need much. Everything else is clutter. I would rather our 401K, investments, and bank account grow!!!!!!

His name is Jett, and he is like a jet plane running around the house. They had named him Brett but that didn’t work for me. Since he’s dark black I thought Jett was better. I had a great weekend. I didn’t expect the orchid so it was such a surprise, I don’t even know how he got it in the house. Thanks for the B-Day wishes! 🙂

Jett – I love that name! Perfect choice. I’ve called my invisible golden retriever Finn, similar principle. If it were a black lab he would have been Jett. Maybe one day I’ll actually be able to have him, but I don’t think it’ll ever happen. Instead I live vicariously through the dogs of others! Jett’s lucky to have a forever home with you two, I hope he settles in well.xx

He’s pooped a few places, checked out the house, found my slippers, and run around the back yard, and settling in just fine. We have two now. I couldn’t live without a dog or cat. 🙂
