Hi, I really liked the simplicity of this post. It all seems so manageable. Sometimes when feeling low we make ourselves feel worse by setting unrealistic (and unfair!) goals. I really like that this allows for the fact that you need these tips most when you’re not in a place to be your ‘best self’. Thank you! I wrote a bit about mental health on my blog for the first time today. I’ve not opened up about this before as my blog is a book blog, but it just seemed right to mention in today’s post. I’d love if you’d check it out and tell me what you think – it’s called ‘Everything Stuck to Him (Carver)’ and is a review of the short story. 🙂

thanks for taking the time to comment, so glad you like the post and find it helpful. I understand all too well about setting unrealistic goals. We don’t do ourselves any favors with the behavior. It’s hard not to. I’m so glad you talked about mental health today, it’s so important to talk about. Please remember your blog is your blog, you are a person and if you want to spread out it’s cool. You are in control. You never know how many people you may reach by sharing other sides of yourself. I’ll check out your post, I always like reading other’s post on mental health. Have a great weekend. 🙂

I don’t have children which is the biggest difference. I can get away with not doing something and my dogs will go take a nap, kids we aren’t so lucky. Even when they can take care of themselves we always want to be doing something, putting pressure on ourselves. Take it slow.

Thanks honey. And you’re right. Even with all adult kids, there’s always something going on……and Bri and I believe that parenting is for life. Sometimes, despite their ages, they still need guidance….nevermind all this.
I’m grateful now, he can at least hold a cup. That’s something.

All good and all do-able. How easy it is for me to forget to drink enough water.

I drink too much water and run the bathroom all day. My meds make my mouth dry…it’s a problem that’s good to have. 🙂

I’m sure the benefits are greater than the inconvenience. 🙂

I’m doing really well. Since I’ve been sick for so long…staying home is not anything new. My husband only goes out to take care of errands and we go to Starbucks a couple of times a week. Everything else can get delivered from Amazon so we’re doing good. He’s still working from home until at least the 1st of the year, I’m happy about that. Things are much better in the UK than here. We didn’t do near enough to close and keep things closed down. And young people here just don’t care, it’s summer times so let’s have big ass parties where 100 people attend. Every time parties like that happen several people get the virus. I was young once but not stupid!!!!! Take care of yourself and the family.

To be honest it’s the same here with the youngsters, they can’t help it. Look after yourself 🙂
