Looking for the Light turned Twelve In May

12 Year Anniversary Achievement

Looking for the Light turned 12 years old in May

I started my first blog, Defining Memories in 2005 to help me grieve the death of my beloved granny. After several years my post became more personal and the name didn’t work so Looking for the Light was born in 2009.

Looking for the Light has evolved over the years and will continue to grow, we’ll grow together. I want to stretch myself, provide better, more valuable information, and will continue to take you to the lead.

I write for myself but in writing, my hope is that someone, just one person can find hope in the future and as they as light at the end of the tunnel.

I thank everyone who has ever crossed my path. You’ve helped me grow and continue to look honestly at myself when sharing my story. I believe today as I did with my first post, sharing our stories is important and everyone has a story.

You’ve taught me so much about myself, life, and the human spirit. Each day of every week your comments lift me up, teach me new ideas, and often humor me. Thank you for taking the time to drop a note to speak your mind. It really does mean so much to me.

If I’ve changed your life in any way, I would love to hear from you. This is a good time for renewing the spirit and hearing your stories.

Melinda

  1. Wow, that’s an incredible milestone – Congratulations & Happy Bloggiversary!!!

I think you should be very proud of everything you’ve achieved and continue to achieve with your blog. You’re a gem in the blogging world and I’m glad to have ‘met’ you here, Mel. Sending love – I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend xxxx

    1. I don’t deserve such kind words!!!!!! Thank you so much. It’s been a wild ride. I’m feeling a bit stale right now. Were you able to read either book? I don’t know what she sent you, hope they were worth the read. Thanks again for all the kind words.

      1. You absolutely deserve the words, they’re all true.
I’ve not had the chance to read the books yet – I don’t know what’s going on but everything is happening all at once, I’m utterly overwhelmed and I’ve not had time for anything other than to-do list stuff and online work. Arrgggh! This week ahead is full of medical appointments, both mine and my parents that I need to take them to. I just want a few hours with nothing to do and no guilt for not being busy. Maybe one day..!

If you’re feeling a little stale, maybe you need a bit of a breather too, do something to refresh yourself and give inspiration the chance to spark to life again. xxxx

        1. That’s the one thing I did with the book reviews, I’m loving them. I have several things going on health-wise just not motivated enough to put them to words. Of course, my kee is keeping me in plenty of pain which also slows my drive down. It hurts to sit, it hurts to stand and it hurts to lay down. The books may not be what you would read, we’ll just have to see, but there’s no hurry. Reading should be enjoyable. I have about 8 books to read and review which is exciting to me. There’s a new series of books coming out that I think will help many people. Hugs. Doing worry! Just keep an eye on your health and that of your parents.

  2. Congratulations on twelve years of looking for the light and sharing your light with others! Your positive energy and helpful insights have inspired me many times!

  3. Congratulations on the blogging anniversary! I’ve enjoyed your posts. It is nice to know you have stayed with it for so long, as many do not. Best wishes for continuing your journey. 🙂
