#WATWB Home Depot Workers Help Neighborhood With Clean Up After Tornados

This week the DFW area was hit with 10 tornadoes, several in densely populated areas, most neighborhoods. Thankfully no one was killed and only a few injured. Several of the neighborhoods had 100-year-old trees that were torn out by the roots, it was heartbreaking. More heartbreaking was to see the number of homes with roofs were torn off, some mostly destroyed and so many displaced until repairs and clean up could take place. A nearby Home Depot was severely damaged and workers were unable to go to work so they went to the hardest-hit neighborhoods and help with clean up. HEB the grocery store chain brought out a semi-truck that served as a restaurant serving meals to those impacted. Several churches in the area were damaged, a couple beyond repair, the members of the church set up food lines in the parking lot for the neighbors who needed a hot meal. Many big cities have their problems and I can complain all day about our own but when the chips are down, we somehow put everything aside and come together to serve. Credit: Lori Gabriel This is what Lori Gabriel wrote on Facebook. “So my little flyer (he’s autistic but normally loves to fly) didn’t have such a good flight home. Trying to get him to stay seated was impossible he wanted to sit on the floor in the hall and in first class. Huge thank you to united airlines they accommodated his needs, made sure we were all ok, worked around where he choose to sit. To the lady that wrote me this note in seat 7D thank you, you may not know how much that means to us when we feel defeated. Thank you for helping and being kind just so happens she also works for United. To the man in first class seat 6C you rock thanks for playing with Braysen and not minding him kicking your seat or messing with you! He loved your high fives! Hopefully they will see this you never know with social media how fast word can spread but y’all made our flight less stressful being so understanding! Shout out to the flight attendants Joseph Nation, Heather Bursid, and Rhonda they couldn’t have done a better job. […]

Hero Biker Helps Father Get Unconscious Daughter To The Hospital Through Heavy Traffic #WATWB #24

May 31, 2019 This is the incredible moment a hero biker saved the life of a young girl having an epileptic fit by rushing her to the hospital while her family was stuck in a traffic jam. Credit: Viral Press The girl’s father Sorachat Sadudee, 51, was driving home after picking up his two daughters from school in Phitsanulok, central Thailand last week. His youngest daughter Kaimook, 8, told him that she felt sick and very tired, so he tried to make his way home as quickly as he could. But the girl had a potentially deadly seizure and started to foam at the mouth before she eventually passed out on the passenger seat while they stuck at a junction. The father was trying to drive the child to the nearest hospital but he was stuck in heavy traffic. So, he opened the window and shouted for help. Passing biker Itthiphon Petchphibunpong, 28, noticed the panic-stricken family inside the black sedan frantically trying to wake the girl up. He offered to ride her to the hospital. Footage shows the motorcycle weaving through rows of cars waiting at junctions. Kaimook finally arrived at the emergency ward within four minutes – far quicker than her father would have been able to have arrived if he had stayed in the traffic jam. She was saved and later transferred to another hospital. “I couldn’t […]
