I don’t participate often but this question caught my attention.
Are you seeking security or adventure?
While security is important to me, I prefer adventure within reason. I have been an adrenaline seeker for years and only stopped due to health reasons. I’ve been fortunate to race a car on a quarter mile track, parachute from an airplane at 13,000 miles up, take a hot air balloon ride, parasail off a boat in the ocean, scuba dive in several countries including shipwreck diving, and get lost in a few countries where I didn’t speak the language. The most difficult times were when I was in St. Petersburg, Russia, and in Toledo, Spain.
What do you look for, security or adventure?
Melinda

It’s great to have those adventure memories! I Ioved scuba diving! – it was like being on another planet. Security is important to me, but our big move has been an adventure I chose.

Moving has been a big adventure and it will keep giving back. I miss the old days but we can’t go back. Adventure has to look different for me. The start is just taking a weekend trip close by.

My bucket list once included seeing the world but I have to be realistic about my health. I haven’t traveled in years but still have the pull to see it all.

I feel you. I am on the same boat, except mine isn’t sailing either. Health issues at my end as well as with my wife and boys. We have been on a standstill for a few years already; it’s not like us. We don’t travel outside of the country, but we have traveled by car to different adventures and miss it every day.
Praying for better health for you and for more adventures to come.

I also have agoraphobia which adds tot he health concerns. I have my eye on a weekend trip just a few hours south of here but my husband doesn’t think one of our dogs can handle being in the kennel since he’s never stayed in one. We can change that if we’re willing. If not I will be disappointed. International travel is another story, it’s been so long, the world has changed, I’m not as roll with the flow when I traveled all the time. There are so many countries and towns I want to visit but Americans are not looked up well to many in the world and even though I understand it doesn’t ease my concerns about traveling. Yes for many countries that are safe but the ones on my list include many that are not. I may never see them and that’s ok. :)
