Blogger Highlight-Willie Torres Jr.

Thank you for all the great feedback on the Blogger Highlight series, I’ve enjoyed meeting each blogger and sharing their blog with you. This week we highlight Willie Torres Jr. We have only followed each other for a short time but we become fast friends. He is a joy to talk to, a talented writer, and a is a man of God. I feel comfortable talking to him in a way that I don’t with most others.

Willie Torres Jr.

My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

I find all of Willie’s posts inspiring and enjoyed this recent post. It’s called One Stormy Might.

Be sure to stop by and say hello. Pull up a chair, and read through his archives. You will find his style of writing uplifting and down-to-earth.

  1. Good morning!, Melinda, I share your spot-on positive assessment. I truly appreciate Willie’s humble spirit and willingness to help others with positive words of encouragement. If I didn’t know any better I’d think you guys were fraternal-twins given how well you both treat other bloggers.

    1. God Bless You Gene, if anything good and positive comes out of me it’s All because of the Grace of God.

Bieve it or not, sometimes I will comment on someone’s post and the words that come out leave me in shock. I’m like, “Dis that come out of me!” and that is when I know, God was at work.

God Bless you today and always and Thank you for your kind words.

  2. Thank you so much for your mentioning me on the “Bloggers Highlight.” I apologize for not sending you the information you needed sooner. It’s been a challenging week, but by the Grace of God, I’ve made it through. As we step into a new week, I’m hopeful for new opportunities and blessings ahead.

You asked about my favorite story or blog post so far. Although I’ve shared various posts and stories from my books that have been encouraging, inspiring, and even a source of accountability, I must say the one I’ve enjoyed the most features Leo the Lion. I never imagined I would write poetry or children’s stories, but with God’s grace and mercy, I’ve ventured into these new territories. Leo has become a cherished character on WordPress and might even be more beloved than I am! It’s amusing to see comments that often say, “God Bless You and God Bless Leo too.” 😂 Perhaps there’s a future book in the works with Leo—though I never thought I’d write a book either. But again, with God, all things are possible.

One important lesson I’d like to share is to always listen to and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Never go against what God is leading you to; He knows what’s best for us. Even when we find ourselves in uncomfortable places, God is with us and will not forsake us.

This brings me to my favorite scriptures, which I find myself sharing frequently. The first is Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV): “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” The second is 1 Peter 5:7 (ESV): “Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” These verses are a source of comfort and encouragement that I share often with those I speak to.

Thank you once again for this incredible Honor. I sincerely Hope that everyone who visits my blog finds themselves abundantly blessed. All Glory, Praise, and Honor belong to God. May the Lord continue to shower His Blessings upon you for the wonderful work you’re doing on your blog. From my family, from Leo, and from me, please know that, You Are Loved.

    1. You deserve all the recognition you get. Your a great writer, write stories inspired by God but in a way that is relatable and not preachy. I like that because it dififficult to read pushy post about God and Jesus. Jesus was not pushy, he lived by example, showed his followers he was not afraid of condemnation and had faith in his teachers. :)

      1. That’s exactly what I aim to do—make my writing relatable to readers. I share my experiences, saying, “I’ve been where you are, and by God’s Grace and Mercy, I made it through. Here’s how.” By connecting my story to theirs, I help them see the relevance. If there’s still doubt about the inspiration behind my words, I include scripture to support the message and demonstrate how it all aligns. People often need to see, feel, and believe to truly grasp the truth. God is Just and speaks through us to others; we just need to be open to receiving and believing.
