Triple Shot Thursday *Reflection*

A shout out to Casey Sims, http://www.livingwithparalysis.wordpress.com. He is the newest Contributor at Survivors Blog Here. http://www.survivorsbloghere.wordpress.com. We are thrilled he joins us…his enthusiasm for life is infectious. Casey was involved in a horrifying  car accident which left him paralyzed from the waist down. His positive, no holes barred attitude will have you trying to keep up. Stop by, say hello, he’s cool, relaxed and comfortable answering your questions. It was dark week around the world. Give some extra smiles on Social Media in the coming week. One young man said to me, he would not live in fear by giving power to the few. I agree. I’m glad you stopped by, hope you enjoyed yourself…every Thursday is a great day to take time out to enjoy the tunes.  Xx M

Throw Back Thursday *I’m late, you should see my laptop*

I started at 8:30pm deciding on video’s. After years of enjoyment, YouTube and VeVo are enforcing copyright laws. Somebody has an answer, please leave a comment or email msandorm@verizon.net. The Shania Twain video is an example, of the the copyright screen. I stopped at 1:00am, way past bedtime. I’m praying for progress today. Here’s a snack while I work on desert. Xx  M

Repost of Your Best Fake Smile *Happy Weekend*

I’m a die-hard James Bay fan, every release captures my music heart. James  loves to make funny faces in photos off stage. Withdraw was not as lonely with James replying to several twitter messages. I’m still picking up the scattered pieces of my brain. Laughter is helping me find a way out. If one person enjoys this post, you’ve given me something I’ve lost. I will get it back.        Xx   M

Throw Back Thursday *Wild Child Days*

Reading a post earlier brought back memories of my drug addicted wild child days. My boyfriend was a dealer so I did everything but a needle. Many scary times living with my father. I ran away, he pointing a 357 magnum at the friends he could find. Threatening to kill them if lying. Good thing he didn’t know I was crouched in the front passenger floorboard. I never forgot the music we were getting stoned to. LET’S ROCK AND ROLL   Xx  M

Throw Back Thursday *Rock Your World*

Hello from Texas, I like spending Thursday with you. I’m starting my Rock Star weekend now. I loved watching James Bay jamming at Buy Guy’s place. Cocaine, What a great tune. Memories of the year I spent in BAD GIRL Boarding School. I had red tee shirt with cocaine written on it, the nuns and probation officer didn’t see the humor. My probation officer made it clear. I was a ward of The State and she could transfer me to Boot Camp style school. Nothing like a memory from the past. Nickelback, what is there to say? They are great when you want to jam and look at Chad. Have a safe weekend. Xx  M

Throw Back Thursday * Shelton…We're having a Party*

I’m the Country Star in my head tonight, not my usual choice of music yet some I can’t get enough of. It’s a triple shot of Blake Shelton. I picked fun, blow the roof off the house music this week. Blake is one of my favorite current day singers, oh I meant drinkers. His blue eyes and big smile shows me he loves  the job. He’s like 6’6…….oh back on track. I have surgery to implant the Port to start me IV Therapy on Tuesday. When I’m scared or nervous it’s usually chocolate, cookies, cookies. Instead of chocolate, I went for Blake, He always makes me feel good. He’s down home country boy, I picture him on a john boat fishing on his land. If you don’t like the words, no problem, no country for your taste, that’s ok. This weekend is have fun letting the bobby pins out. I’ll be thinking of you and what I’m missing out on. I’ll catch up when I get back.   XO M

Throw Back Thursday (Wednesday) *Let's Get Rocked*

I hit pay dirt this week. The first two are in pre-release, I think both drop later this month.  David Gilmore doesn’t have a video. None of the bands are new, you’ve heard many of their tunes here. The last video is my Guitar Hero, Eric Clapton. He sounded great even thru one ear. I not happy with Bose right now. If the music captures you, download and get your rock on anytime. Eric caresses the strings perfectly, I lose myself  every time. Grab your beverage along with a nice assortment of cheese, bread and toppings.  I wasn’t drinking any beverages posting today, just forgot what day it was. Music is the good for you fruit. Eric Clapton doesn’t sound as perfect as liked, I could not pass up the best solo I’ve hear.    A shout out to a Dragon friend of mine.   XO Melinda

Many of you enjoyed the softer side last week. Let’s do a week on words. Each songs beauty is in the words. Clear your head. This week I want to show another side to a couple of my favorite singer/songwriter/guitarist. They are not “B Sides”, I hear gems without the radio overplay. Pull up a comfy seat, maybe lay on couch with Black Light on. What happens in your house stays there. I want to hear what you think!!! Shout it out!  XO W

Throw Back Thursday *Great Day For Musical Tour thru Tim

I traveled to D.C. to meet a new Lyme doctor. He is a leading expert, one of the few who practice. The news was worst than expected. The good news is an expert is managing my health. I’ve had mood swings while digesting the tough road ahead. It’s the perfect week for a mix. I love the songs and hope you do to. Grab your drink of choice, light soothing candle and relax. I bet you will grin at the memories.  XO Warrior

Throw Back Thursday * Triple Shot Best of Best U2 *

I look at the global influence of U2 today, it’s hard to think of them as young choir boys. Bono’s strong religious beliefs shine thru many top hits. Moment of Surrender grabs me not wanting to let go. Grab a relaxing chair, sip your drink till fill some warmth. Get ready rock, Then come down slowly with Moments of Surrender. I hope you enjoy the tunes and have great weekend.  XO  Warrior

Throw Back Thursday *Giving you crazy from my heart*

This week the songs are completely different, not even throw backs. I leave Sunday for appointment in DC with new Lyme Doctor on Tuesday morning. Being without a doctor for months now was brining me down. Meeting one of the top Lyme experts, makes me happy. The second song may surprise you, it did me.Kid Rock has a crazy persona/life yet I believe he is a good man. I respect any entertainer who goes to show our soldiers some fun and love from home. Seeing soldiers huge smiles, taking their mind off reality for a short time makes me warm inside. I had not heard this amazing song before. This post is to say thank you and hugs to so many who’ve touched my life. I could not begin to tell you how your support has filled the hole in my heart.   XO Warrior

Throw Back Thursday *Musical Poet Jackson Browne*

The first time I heard Jackson Browne sing, he was speaking to my heart. He’s words like poetry of situations in life I understood. In each song a line or two I couldn’t get out of head. I hope you enjoy this week’s picks. For me Jackson Browne is best enjoyed with lights out, candles lit around the room, a good Merlot to enjoy or share and a slightly introspective mood.   XO  Warrior

Throwback Thursday *Best of Queen plus Queen with Paul Rogers*

I hope you enjoy the tunes this week, both are favorites of mine. Kick back in comfy chair, something smooth to drink and enjoy the memories. Queen was a favorite of mine, Freddie with his theatrics. Bad Company still in top 5 all time bands, Paul Rogers voice fits perfectly with the band. I respect him for having the courage to follow Freddie. There is only one Freddie Mercury and only one Paul Rogers. I am thankful to hear and watch both.    XO  Warrior

Throw Back Thursday * Santana Bending Strings…Live From Germany *

The idea for this weeks Throw Back Thursday came to me several weeks ago, I didn’t even think twice. My life overflows with sunshine everyday because of you. Every like, comment, follow, friendship, laugh, words of encouragement, allowing me into your life and above all your prayers. You have touched me deeply by allowing me to comment, knock on your door and allowing me into your life. There is not a day go by without thoughts and prayers for my WP family. My husband understands how important blogging is for me, what is hard for him is how people can touch my life without meeting. I started blogging to share my experiences with others. I didn’t have a clue where the first steps would take me. The thought of my heart expanding with joy never crossed my mind. I am thankful for so much and hope to see you often in 2015.   XO Melinda

Throwback Thursday * Reflection….What if today was your last day? *

There are three tick born illnesses making a home in my body. I’ve been kicked in the gut, stomped to the ground and rolled over by a truck the past few weeks. The monsters inside have met their match. I ain’t going down that easy. I’ve been to sick to update my Lyme Journal, many days I feel like death. On better days I feel like an ice pick is stabbing my forehead. My body rejects me, today falling when only three feet from the ground. The doctor said I could die at my last appointment. I do not visualized myself not getting up and won’t. I want to live each minute, feel it, make plans, add to my bucket list (Tango Lessons), keep learning and looking forward. Both songs are strong inspirations to me, enjoy today, the people I love and keep an open heart. Many have sent me words of encouragement, love, well wishes and lots of laughs. Thank you from the bottom of my big Texas heart. I appreciate everyone who prays for me and takes the time to write. My heart overflows with sunshine. Life is short, if we could live each day like it was our last, what a wonderful world it would be.   XO Warrior

"When I Find Love Again, I'll Be Much Better Than The Man I Used To Be" **I see in his eyes and Body Language **

Many of you know I’m a huge James Blunt fan. How many converts will sway to his new song. I love the black and white video, fit’s perfect. Men may enjoy the babes shaking it. I find the men dancing and kicking up the dust quit satisfying. James married Sofia in September, I believe his music will show a happier man. He comes from a long history of military officers and James takes pride in serving. He’s dated some of the most beautiful women. He met is match with Sofia, who comes from long line of royalty. I wish them the best.    Warrior   Let me know what you think??

Throw Back Thursday**Triple Shot with Country Legends Tanya, Reba,Loretta,Tammy and Dolly** Hang on to your hats!

Enjoy the songs from my childhood, give or take a few years. Tanya Tucker’s Delta Dawn has a place buried in my heart. Many of the songs are simple, no fancy videos or special effects. What they have in common are words that grab your heart and still have meaning today. I bet there are many who aren’t familiar with the artist or words to the songs. Get on your shit kickers and get line dance warmed up!  Enjoy. M
