Throw Back Thursday **Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers and American Indians** A Strong Message of Survival

The Pink Floyd video brings thoughts, dreams and surviving to mind. I fly in my dreams and have for as long as I can remember. Watching the guy get the courage to fly is like our internal struggle to survive. Survivors continue to battle the struggle, the difference is they have learned to fly. The other message not lost on me is the American Indian appearing, building his confidence to fly. I am Cherokee and would have liked to fight their battles. Everyone has a story. If you are lacking confidence to jump the last hurdle, you’re in good company. Survivors dedicate themselves to helping you fly.

There’s a line in Seven Turns on the Highway, Love Is All That Remains The Same. It reminds me the journey never ends, we have to keep living. By living we are going to hit unexpected turns. When we have the right people in our life, they take the journey with us. Surviving is a life long learning experience. Personally I love watching the American Indians dance, wondering what the dance means.   XO Warrior

    1. My loving Twin P,
Learning to fly is a great song, you can apply to any period or struggle in life. It reminds me to remain a survivor we have to continue to move forward and help others. One you do an outstanding effort at, your humor may be the only humor in a person’s day. Your humor is tied to real life issues and I believe the connection is there. You make a choice to see the lighter side. You make many people laugh the only time that day.

    1. Hi Heather,
So good to hear from you. Pink Floyd was the backdrop of my life thru good & bad. The song is different in the message, or the message I hear. We all survive trials and learning to fly is the perfect metaphor. One I know you understand. I hope you received my email I sent offline. I wanted to offer hand if you needed one. Have a great weekend.

    1. Hello my dear friend,

I think of you almost everyday. You are my sunshine. 🙂 I know you are praying for me even when we don’t talk for a couple of days. You are a great friend.

With Chronic Lyme Disease it’s a long journey, next month the worst will start. You get much worse before getting better. It could take a year to three to heal.

I am strong in my faith and know I will survive the illness. God has given me many test and I believe each test prepares you to handle the next.

I pray…May Allah give Shifa to the many suffering in the world today.

Thank you for checking in on me, you are great friend. Thank you.

      1. And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return.”Surat Al-Baqarah [2:155-156]

When that time is the chance to get closer to the Almighty and that is the chance to earn more rewards and that is the chance to show the strength of our faith by leaving it all up to Allah and being Patient. So welcome your hardships for they are blessings. Know that Allah loves you. That is why He wishes to purify you. Allah loves you and He has given you an opportunity to come close to Him. Allah loves you and that is why He has allowed you to earn more rewards. He loves you and that is why He put you through tribulations to test your faith and love for HIM. Allah loves you and will never abandon you, He just wishes for you to keep your faith strong in Him and earn more rewards…<3

        1. Thank you dear friend,
I think of Job in hard times, he was a man of great faith. God allowed Satan to temp Job by making him suffer horrible trials including loosing his whole family. Job cried out asking God why he allowed Satan to torture him and take his family. Job kept his faith and God rewarded him with many times over what he had.

My father was reading Job when he committed suicide, since that day in 1992, I have come to understand the true meaning of Job. God never said life would be easy on earth, he guaranteed a place for us if we stay in faith. It was a hard but very valuable lesson. I’ve been very angry, didn’t understand and cried and screamed at God but never lost faith. I am very happy I can feel and understand the promise so deeply.

Thank you for the message of Allah’s love. I believe Allah like God want people to stay in faith and will reap wards in the after life. It doesn’t matter we read from different Holy Books, the message is the same.

Thank you for sharing Allah’s words and for your friendship. 🙂
