I adore this video. I can’t even count how many times I’ve felt exactly like this. In fact just this Monday my son, in his early twenties, attending a prestigious University; was on a Zoom. I was just a room away, and listening quietly as I fixed dinner. The Zoom happened to be on how to deal with diversity in multicultural classrooms. When he was done Zooming he was upset with himself for not speaking up about one comment or another. But as the only male and the only person of color that was on the Zoom he feared the white reactions, to a particular topic. Now I’ve shown him this video, and reminded him how important speaking up is. By saying nothing, nothing can get better.
