  1. I never knew if it was a compliment or not, but I guess it might be. It has come from several guys, but I have been told, “You really rock the no make-up look, all natural.”
    I am very comfortable in my own looks, even if I’m not strikingly beautiful like some women, or perfectly made up like others.
    So I suppose it was flattering for a man to say that to me, and it has stuck with me.

    1. One thing my grandfather told me as a child was I could do or be anything including Miss America. I had such a traumatic childhood that compliments didn’t come often. I’m not striking beauty but that depends on our perception of beauty, it took me some time after quitting work, not wearing make-up and not dressing up to feel comfortable.
