Gorgeous roses, Melinda. Thanks for sharing your photos of them. Every couple of months, I buy myself some orange roses or tulips as they were my Mum’s favourites, and we had them at her funeral. They remind me of our happy times together.
How are you feeling at the moment? I hope you are beginning to recover; although I appreciate with mental illness, it can take a long time to feel better again. I wish you well. Xx 🌹💕🌹
Thanks for asking. I’m doing much better and been catching up on my sleep. My Granny loved red roses and they make me think of her, she saved my life, it’s hard to talk about still and she died 2005.
I love fresh flowers, it doesn’t matter what type, just to add some color to my life. Is you garden burnt up? We just can’t get out of the 3 digit days. Outside plants are barely having on and several are dead. Texas summers are brutal.
Our garden is still doing pretty well, though I’m afraid our cucumber plants are starting to fade. We haven’t had the unbearable heat you guys have, so it’s been a pretty good summer for our garden. I hope you guys get some relief from the heat soon.
We need rain so bad, there are fires everywhere and just a little spark can set them off. The other day someone was mowing their grass next to a huge parcel of land and it caught on fire. They were still working to contain it yesterday.
I love roses, these are actually burgundy but looked red in the photos. They’ve held up well. $7 at Kroger. I sneak that on the grocery list every couple of weeks. I makes me so happy to look at them. It’s calming.

Oh my goodness, that’s terrible. It’s so heartbreaking to see so many people dealing with the devastation of those wildfires right now.

Didn’t the Bible say the earth will end in fire?
