I changed twice today and this theme is breaking my back. It shows me the navigation bar and logo are all there but after hours of this tangled web, I’m left without a header until I can fix it or talk with WordPress.
If someone who’s been around WP for 10-15 years and recently changed themes, maybe you could drop me a line with any ideas.
I’m drained and can’t stand to leave things undone but my anxiety is thru the roof.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi, Melinda. I changed my theme recently. I know that it’s a hell of a lot more complex than you’d imagine. It took me hours to get mine how I wanted it to be. Have you looked under ‘Appearance’ where the ‘widgets’ are shown? This is where you can find your follow button and other valuable additions. Appearance can be found if you click on the ‘WP My Site’ symbol in the top left corner of your blog, scroll down and hover over Appearance, and you will find ‘Widgets’. Widgets are usually things you choose to have in your sidebar. I have a central section and a right sidebar for my theme, but yours may differ. I think you’ve said previously that you’ve tried contacting the so-called ‘Happiness Engineers’ with no luck. It’s worth persevering with them, and sometimes, if you send some screenshots of what you’re having trouble with, they’ll come back with something more useful.
I do like your header title and image you’ve used here. I think the ‘Looking For The Light’ being larger than before works really well, and the photo of the blue sea and rocks is very effective, too. I don’t know whether I’ve been any help but feel free to get in touch again if you think I can help with anything else. I’m also happy to see you have two new readers already – great stuff 😊. Take care of yourself – you’ll get there in the end. Xx 💖

I changed themes again and this one works the way the old one did so it’s going better. The issue is some of the widgets I used, like the community block is available any more. So I’m having to use lots of graphics on the right side until I can figure out what to add. Thanks for your feed back. The key thing I don’t like is I’m having trouble moving the printed name of the post right under the logo. Haven’t figured this one out yet! Thanks.

I’m glad you like the new theme. I’m not sure I have a true follow button but if you click on the WordPress button that is by my social channels, you can follow there. I hope to have the problem with the header fixed today. Have a god one!
