Great question and one I had to deal with. It didn’t matter to me if any of my family liked my partner or not, he makes me happy. 29 years later, he still does!!

You have to set boundaries and then make changes in order to reduce time with parents. If they act nice yet controlling, I would cut them out for a bit and see what if anything changes. :)
