The first book you remember reading?
I wasn’t interested in reading until my boarding school counselor gave me several books to read including Man Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. The book is a game changer.
The book was given to me at 13 years old and what sticks in my mind is how he survived the Holocaust Concentration Camps. He is a very strong man and is a great example of how we can take control of our lives.

I enjoyed “Man’s Search for Meaning” as well. I’m not sure of my first book, but I loved the Nancy drew series growing up.

I probably read something in Kindergarten and have forgotten about. I love for reading started then. Have a great day. :)

Oh, the first book I remember reading was Beautiful Joe about a dog who was abused and rescued by a family who loved animals. I remember buying it from a store when I was in maybe 3rd grade. Black Beauty was soon after that.

We didn’t have books in our house, I didn’t start reading the entire book until Man Search for Meaning. I received many Christian and poetry books for my baptism in to the Catholic Church. This was in boarding school. :)

Man’s Search for Meaning has been on my “to be read list” for many years. Thanks for the nudge!

I read it at 13 yrs old so I’m sure it would be much deeper as an adult. I think everyone needs to read, we would have less people on a pity party. :)

Actually, my first book was probably the Bible. My mother gave me one when I was five but my understanding wasn’t there.

I wasn’t into to reading or school for that matter. So much was happening to me behind closed doors, reading didn’t enter my mind until I was taken away from the abuse. :)
