From Family Cookbook-Rocky Road Fudge

The family cookbook contains recipes, my Gramps & Granny used often and is the type of food I grew up on. Good ole Southern food like my Gramps dumplings, to Grannies pecan pie.

This recipe is a keeper! My brother and I would beg Granny to make it.

What You Need

1 can condensed milk

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup peanut chips

2 cups tiny marshmallows

2 cups chopped nuts

How To Make

Stir and melt chips and milk over medium heat, don’t scorch

Stir all the time and fold in marshmallows and nuts

Spread on buttered oblong pan and cool.

This is worth forgetting about the calorie count.

  1. Awe Rocky Road… it is a great tasting treat, especially if you love chocolate. My hubby makes this from time to time, but don’t use the milk. He also replaces nuts with coconut and it is a great mix.
Hope you had a great weekend!

          1. I can’t meditate, my brain don’t shut off either, but I have learned to control the thoughts I do think about. The more I have done this, the easier it becomes. It works for me…

I have learned to focus on gratitude and all I am grateful for. I sit, close my eyes, and allow all the feelings of gratitude wash over me, while I go through the list of things in my mind. Takes about 15 minutes and I feel more focused when I am done and it starts my day off right. It takes focus to stay on topic but it gets easier with practice.
