The family cookbook contains recipes, my Gramps & Granny used often and is the type of food I grew up on. Good ole Southern food like my Gramps dumplings, to Grannies pecan pie.
What You Need
2 TB butter
2 eggs
1 cup pecans
Flaked coconut
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped dates
2 cups Rice Krispies
How To Make
Melt butter in skillet
Add sugar, eggs, dates, and mix
Cool until it thickens
Add pecans and Rice Krispies
Make into balls and roll in coconuts or pecans
Grease your hands before rolling the balls.
If you like dates, you’ll love these.

Melinda, I made the date balls for Easter, and they were a big hit. They are my new favorite snack. Thank you for the recipe.

So glad to hear the feedback. They are so good and dates are good by themselves. I eat some everyday for my health. :) So glad the family liked them. I have more recipes, just not into writing down the longer recipes last week. My next one is Party Mix. I have to finish instructions before posting. I have been down and not much energy. Have a great day. :)

I found out last week that my insurance approved my Antibody Infuse Treatments. I’m waiting to hear when I start. I hope it makes me feel better. There were 14 infusions approved. We’ll see, at least it’s only one a month. :)

I’m going to try this recipe. I actually have dates in the refrigerator.

Do I need to keep mine in fridge? Mine are setting on the counter as a reminder. They taste great and the first time is the hardest time to make it. Have a great day.
