Young Love

I woke to the sound of knocking at the door

I grabbed my robe and was surprised who was at my door

My ex-boyfriend and BFF

He had come over to check on me since I wasn’t at work

I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth

He lightly grabbed my hand and took my robe off

We stand there for a minute

He leads me to the bedroom

We were totally silent

We dressed and he walked out the door

I never asked if he loved me but I know he did

I was 19 and still in love with him
