Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness Month

Last year my husband was diagnosed with Leukemia and we are thrilled he is in the earliest stage. The most surprising result of Leukemia is that he has developed Skin Cancer which is common with Leukemia. He has had many lesions removed and some were very deep. It is recommended that you see a Dermatologist once a year and check your skin regularly.

I’m adding my prayers for your husband’s wellbeing, and yours, too. When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, we didn’t hear much about sunscreen, then I didn’t take it seriously until maybe my 30s. All that exposure to my fair skin finally caught up with me (like a few of my friends) with a small basal cell carcinoma above my eyebrow. I’m going to be wearing a hat more often.
