An Open Letter to pkmundo: the Master of the Follow-Unfollow Game By Guest Blogger Mrs. Claire Gutknecht

Clair’s post is about bloggers who play the game of follow and unfolllow to get followers. It’s tactics used by people who are driven by numbers only. The reason I reblogged is that I don’t appreciate these tactics. Who would want to follow a blogger who has no confidence in themselves and no desire to be a part of anyone’s community? I’ve already unfollowed. Older timers like me don’t care for games. Maybe you have a blogger treating you this way?

        1. They always seem to find you. It’s a waste of time but it life when blogging. On thing to do is make sure your comments are set to stay in moderation so no comments are auto posted. This allows me to delete them easily and now WP gives you the ability to delete thru the Notifications Section. Have a great day. Let me check out your blog. :)

          1. i did that with my old one—i even listed their ip addresses to block them out but when it’s public they could easily lurking from anywhere. i hate that feeling. my spam folder was… colourful. it’s too time consuming to deal with.

          2. I check the Spam box a couple of times a week since some true comments do fall thru the cracks but I just delete them all at once. It’s a shame that WordPress doesn’t allow you to truly block them, it just throws them into spam vs the trash.

        2. I already follow you. I don’t think I’ve featured you in my Monday post called Blogger Highlight. What that entails is a snippet from me about your blog, a snippet about your blog taken from your site or written by you and included a direct link to your site. It’s been highly successful and I think my community would enjoy finding your blog. Is that something you’re interested in. In addition to introducing your blog the hope is it will drive traffic to your site. :)

          2. Can’t you open your mind to the fact that others might find the post interesting? I have, even though you don’t feel that way. Just a thought. Let me know when you up to it. Very little effort on your part is required. :)

  1. Hi Melinda! You won’t believe it—guess who followed me again? Yeah, that blogger. But you know what? I’m done with following them back. They always unfollow after I do, like clockwork. This is the fourth time already, and it’s getting pretty annoying, to be honest.

  2. Oh yeah. I long dropped this one long ago when I had my previous blog on WordPress and this person still comes to like now and again. After not seeing for a bit, this person was the first person to like my latest post after not long airing it today. Literally, not long ago. And it was a special post just for spammers to share how I feel. Which like many spammers I am getting. Not just this one, that don’t read posts. But my imagrs say it all. Even if they don’t click on my post in the reader.
