Interesting perspective. It does seem to take work, or a conscious shift to see the good. But we get better with practice.

I haven’t had enough practice yet.

It’s an ongoing process. Anxiety can sometimes make me imagine the worst-case scenarios, until I catch myself and say, STOP! Give the good equal time.

As someone who see’s the good in everyone, even those that don’t necessarily deserve it… I’d like to be able to see both the good and bad in people AND acknowledge/accept it. It’s that last part that hangs me up. I think a good balance of the two is ideal :)

I still have issues in this area, it’s hard not to think badly of someone or their behavior. It’s not that I’m better than them, I don’t understand why. I have been working on this for years and getting a bit better. Bless you if you can look at a person openly. :)

Forgiving, asking for forgiveness and letting go of the hurt is the hardest thing in the world to do. But there’s a sense of Peace in oneself when we can do it. It’s not about forgiving them but it’s about finding Peace in yourself to let go.
I came to this back in 2018, when I first got saved. My first mission was to ask for forgiveness of certain family members whom I did NOTHING, wrong but they did it to me. To be the bigger person, I asked them for forgiveness, things came out, we spoke it out and poured out everything, and honestly, our relationship is now better than it ever was , and take to consideration that I’m in my 50’s so that’s a long time.
I’m not telling you or asking you to do anything, I’m just letting you know and sharing that we sometimes need that peace in our heart.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing Sister.
