My parents were not active in church when I was little, so I would ask different neighbors if I could go to church with them. I was baptized but felt no connection to a church. At 14 years old I converted to Catholicism and was active in the church for many years. I’ve realized that going to church doesn’t define my relationship with God. I practice religion directly with God.

I’ve often been intrigued by the differences between religion and spirituality. I go to church regularly where the music often moves me, but can feel a spiritual connection just as easily looking at the stars at night or the ocean. You have a strong relationship with God/our Creator. That’s what’s most important.

How do you practice religion directly with god instead of going to the church and worshipping him, i mean church is one of the best ways to connect with him, right? Btw i like your writing style

God deserves all the praise we can offer. For me, it’s by talking directly to him, asking for guidance, and praying. When Jesus walked to earth they didn’t gather in churches, they congregated together where they could. The beauty is we can all practice religion differently and still be close to God. Thank you for the kind words about my writing. :)

Interesting!! For some reason, I couldn’t get closer to him by trying to do right . That was an impossible task. But I got very close to him when I went the wrong way in a hurry.
When the heart gets really humble, it speaks a pure truth. God listens when one walks humbly with God.
