I know some groceries give all the food left at the end of the day to food pantries which is great, it’s all the other, I’m guilty myself no matter how hard we try. The answer lies in many heads put together to help us understand all the ways we waiste food and how to cut back. It’s not a one time fix, but I don’t know of any initiatives other than the fact we know it’s true. It may sound crazy but everytime we throw food out at the end of the week I think of the starving, crying children in so many countries, it breaks my heart. We work hard to only buy and cook what we need but it doesn’t always work out that way.
