My Laptop Is Having Service, I Hate My iPad

My laptop is going on six years old and needed a new battery. I thought no problem, boy was I wrong. The service was under Apple Care and I took it to a Certified Apple Dealer. Thinking I may have the laptop back in three to four days,

I was totally surprised to hear my laptop had to be sent out because they don’t replace batteries. Now I’m looking at up to two weeks. It would have been nice if their website shared that information. Instructions are sent on how to prepare your device but the directs are not complete. After dropping off the laptop, he tells me I have to go into the Cloud and remove the device. What?????

I’m blessed to have an iPad to work with but it’s like a child’s play toy with a mind of its own.

If I’m not around much please understand what I’m dealing with.

Thank you.

I Owe You An Apology

When I redesigned my site, I felt certain the widgets included would create an easy way to move around the site. I forgot one big widget, the Search Button. I appreciate Ilze from a day in the life of a latvian mom who pointed it out after telling her she could search for a post.

There is now a Search Button for you to narrow down the type of posts you’re looking for. If there’s anything else you feel the site is missing, please let me know. My goal is to make visiting as easy as possible.

Ilze and I have become fast friends. We share many of the same interests and she’s also very wise. Her posts always entertain or teach me something new. Please overlook the mistake I made when I said “Most of my post…..” I don’t write for sympathy. Thank you Ilze for digging deep and sharing with the community.

I’ve Tweeked My About Me Page, Please Have a Look And Let Me Know Your Thoughts

I get bored easily so I work hard at keeping my content fresh and up-to-date. Most of the changes are esthetic but I think they add some flair into who the person behind the words are. Please check out the updated page and share the good, bad, and ugly, I can take it.

About Me

I want to take one minute to thank all that have stopped by my blog over the years, left comments, the good conversations we’ve had, what we’ve learned from each other, and most importantly your friendship. The past 24 years of my life has been a learning journey, full of ups and downs but many of you have been there throughout the years and I send a special hug to you.

If you think something is missing in my description of my blog or about myself, please let me know that as well, that’s important information to have.

Thanks for coming along for the ride. What a ride it’s been.

Is WordPress on the verge of destruction? By Guest Blogger Hyperion Sky

This is some very serious news for ALL WordPress bloggers! Educate yourself and BE SURE to back up all your data. Be sure to read the link in Daniels’s post, all the facts and details are spelled out there. So many concerns.

Is WordPress on the verge of Destruction?

I recently discovered that the WordPress project owned by Automattik is in a complicated battle with its Hosting company WP. The integrated aspect of WordPress with Automattik and WP is complex and currently under threat. WordPress represents about 40% of all websites on the Internet and a punitive legal battle could drastically affect the Internet … Continue reading

The Email Open Statistic Is Incorrect, Another Failure From WordPress

I have known for some time that the statistics provided by WordPress are not accurate and today it was cemented in my mind. When you publish a post it goes to each follower including those who subscribe to receive the post via email. The catch is that WordPress counts all of your posts as email which is the opposite of what the explanation of what the statistics are.

I have around 20-25 followers who receive my posts via email yet today I looked at a post from a few days ago and it showed 917 received my posts along with the number of email opens and unique opens, whatever that means. If you take the numbers at face value that means that out of close to 4K followers only 917 received the posts and that even fewer read the posts and fewer are commenting.

Commenting I understand, I don’t comment on every post I read but I have a hard time swallowing that the community has turned off receiving my posts. Maybe this is naive of me but when I see the level of long-time followers, new followers, comments, and the level of conversations I’m having with many people the number isn’t consistent.

This is no surprise, I have a long-time follower friend whose husband is a Statistical Engineer and he stated that the statistics on WordPress are inaccurate. This is not a rant, just an explanation for others who are perplexed with their statistics.

I’ve been blogging on WordPress for 24 years and have spent countless hours frustrated working with the Happiness Engineers to understand the issue I was having. Many, many years ago asking for help became futile and I gave up on contacting them. I did recently contact WordPress to let them know about the Bots that were enjoying my archives but as usual, I received no response. When I have a question now, I ask the community or go to Copilot for an explanation. Copilot has helped me understand what the statistics mean at a high level however the answers don’t apply to WordPress.

I hope this information helps others make sense out of what doesn’t make sense. :)

Yesterday I noticed the button to reach Reader was missing, this morning I looked everywhere including places I knew it would not be. Has this happened to you as well? If nothing else I want to make sure it’s not just me or a possible issue with my browser software.

Sending A Special Thank You To the Countries Who Have Visited My Blog-Malta, Argentina, Cyprus And France

Thank you for inviting me into your life by visiting my blog. I appreciate you and get my itch to travel through you. The only country I’ve traveled to is France. I stayed in Paris for a week and had the time of my life. I’m from Texas and have an accent, you can imagine how the few words I could say in French sounded. I stayed in the welcoming 12th arrondissement, and my replies were met with a smile. I saw the touristy areas which were amazing, spent a half day at the Palace of Versailles, and took a train to the Taittinger winery. I looked forward to a tour even though I didn’t understand French but the cellars were amazing. Taittinger is one of my favorite champagnes and rivals several of the more expensive brands I’ve tasted. Bringing back six bottles was an effort.

I look forward to returning to France to visit the wine country and tour more wineries.

As for the other countries, a visit to your country is on my bucket list. I am ready to travel Internationally again but not ready to get on an airplane, it’s not safe right now. Too many systems going down, understaffing and widows blowing out of aircraft for my comfort level.

I hope this post finds you happy and healthy. :)

Blogger Highlight-Willie Torres Jr.

Thank you for all the great feedback on the Blogger Highlight series, I’ve enjoyed meeting each blogger and sharing their blog with you. This week we highlight Willie Torres Jr. We have only followed each other for a short time but we become fast friends. He is a joy to talk to, a talented writer, and a is a man of God. I feel comfortable talking to him in a way that I don’t with most others.

Willie Torres Jr.

My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

I find all of Willie’s posts inspiring and enjoyed this recent post. It’s called One Stormy Might.

Rain Stormy Might

Be sure to stop by and say hello. Pull up a chair, and read through his archives. You will find his style of writing uplifting and down-to-earth.

Bots Are Back! Today 756 Are From Facebook/Meta

I’ve had a total of 921 Bot hits on my archive but what’s worrying is that 756 came from Facebook, what is Meta doing? This has happened three days in a row and the numbers are going up. I’ve never had this happen before and I can’t help but be alarmed. Of course, I’ve heard nothing back from WordPress and don’t expect to. I have to believe the Bot is targeting WordPress versus my blog.

I don’t know if this is a security risk or just searching for content to use to answer questions asked by their system. I was stalked several years ago by a blogger I knew, they hacked my system, terrorized and made it look like it was two bloggers I trusted. They had a mental illness that consisted of several personalities of which I did not know the names. They sent me texted and sent messages while I was typing. I came to believe they didn’t plan to hurt me and one day she used her real name. Once I confronted her the stalking stopped. I was a long seven months and it affected me greatly.

To say I’m concerned when these types of events happen is an understatement. I don’t know if this is the future of AI or something more sinister.

Can anyone enlighten me on what is happening and if I need to be alarmed. I would truly appreciate your feedback. The number of countries that have seen an increase in the views of the archives have gone and it’s from countries that never read through my archives. Today it’s up to six countries.

Thank you.

Beware Of Bots!

For the past two days a Bot aimed at WordPress has hit my archives with a fever pitch. It is probably looking for something I have not written about but it’s searching for something. Is it private information, stealing your content or a corporation looking for specific posts? Who knows but it concerns me.

Don’t be fooled when the views in your archives jump up by several thousand percent. They are not real numbers. You can’t see who they are because it doesn’t show up in the views, only what country has increased. Yesterday it was only in America but today it’s at least five countries. What makes it worse is I keep getting knocked off the Internet. How is this possible?

I contacted WordPress for whatever good that will do, remember you’re talking to a bot! It was telling me how to troubleshoot but in reality the functions don’t work. They show they are available but they won’t block an IP address like it shows, there is no way to block another blogger, it doesn’t work. If it did work I would not keep getting spam comments from the very bloggers who keep spamming me.

I’m tech savy to a point and when I don’t understand I ask my husband who is a career techie. He is the one who helped me understand that it was a Bot hitting WordPress. I don’t think most people can understand the Internet completely unless you’re Stephen Hawkins, but these actions are alarming. I feel like I’m being invaded. Is this the future of AI?

Blogger Highlight-The Odyssey Of Life

Thank you for all the great feedback on the Blogger Highlight series, I’ve enjoyed meeting each blogger and sharing their site with you. This week we highlight The Odyssey Of Life.  Gene wrote his first post on January 4th, 2024 named Hello World. We have only followed each other a short time but we value many of the same things and I feel a kindred spirit in him.

THE ODYSSEY OF LIFE

“HUMANITY SHOULD BE OUR RACE. LOVE SHOULD BE OUR RELIGION.” UNKNOWN

HI THERE. APPRECIATE YOUR VISIT, THANK YOU!

I’VE BEEN AN AVID READER MY WHOLE LIFE. IN MY YOUTH, I FOUND GREAT COMFORT IN VISITING THE GORDON AVENUE LIBRARY, WHICH WAS JUST A FEW BLOCKS UP A FAIRLY STEEP HILL FROM MY THEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. EVEN AT A YOUNG AGE, I FOUND AUTOBIOGRAPHIES AND/OR BIOGRAPHIES FASCINATING TO READ. BEYOND LIFE GROWING UP ON A 48-ACRE FARM, I BEGIN TO REALIZE THE WORLD WAS A MUCH LARGER PLACE THAN I IMAGINED.

MANY YEARS, WHO I AM KIDDING, MANY DECADES HAVE PASSED SINCE THOSE FORMATIVE YEARS LIVING IN THE CENTRAL VIRGINIA REGION, BUT I’M STILL EASILY ENTERTAINED AND AMUSED READING AN ARRAY OF GENRES, WITH MYSTERIES RUNNING A CLOSE 2ND TO INTERESTING BIOGRAPHIES ABOUT FASCINATING PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE. I WILL USE THIS BLOG TO ENGAGE WITH AND LEARN FROM OTHERS.

I LOVE AMERICA & MOTHER EARTH AND ALL THAT HUMANITY CAN BE TOGETHER…

APPRECIATE YOUR VISIT, THANK YOU! PLEASE VENTURE BACK SOON. FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR OWN THOUGHTS, SUGGESTIONS, OPINIONS, ETC. HERE IN THIS SPACE AS A FREE AND OPEN DEMOCRACY ALLOWS.

“LET US NOT SEEK THE REPUBLICAN ANSWER OR THE DEMOCRATIC ANSWER, BUT THE RIGHT ANSWER”. — JOHN F. KENNEDY

I love this quote! If we all voted for what is right for our country I believe America would be in a much better place with more harmony instead of division.

Gene has an extensive Blog Roll that you should take a peek at.

BLOG ROLL

The post talks about a much simpler time in Charlottesville where he lived. The key message resonating with me is that children didn’t recognize skin color during that time. What a great time in history that must have been.

A post that I enjoy is Have We Lost Our Way.

He great observations on the world today and where we have gone astray.

Bloggers Who Waist Their Time Spamming Will Never Be Rewarded

WordPress does not allow bloggers to block another blogger for reblogging their posts or sending spam. This site has been spamming me for over six months. Today, I want you to know who they are. Bloggers who spam you by trying to sell you something, rant, or try to get you to follow their blog are waisting their time. I keep all comments in moderation and as soon as I see them, I permanently delete them.

Blogs like this don’t stop, they are too ignorant to realize that I would never click on the link and never buy their products.

Another Blogger On My Bad Side-epilepsycerebralpalsy.com

I have dealt with Kenneth reblogging my work for years through one of several blogs he operates. I don’t appreciate people building their blogs on other bloggers’ content. Yes, he gives credit but that is not the point. He reblogs non-related content to his site as filler. I’m no one’s filler, if you find a post moving, I have no issue with reblogging. I reblog myself but not as filler, it’s only posts that inspire me or hit me in a way that I want to share with the community. Now, I ask if I can reblog even if they freely allow it.

A male blogger older with wrinkles not smiling. Image 1 of 4

Today he reblogged a post I wrote about buying myself a birthday gift and I asked him to remove it and not reblog my work again. That has not been done and WordPress doesn’t give you the option to approve or not. once reblogged it’s gone. This type of blogger is degrading our content and is a coward because they can’t write their own posts. A serious blogger has patience and doesn’t need filler to up their numbers. I have no tolerance for this tactic and you should not tolerate yourself.

I encourage you to put your foot down and if needed call them out for the unethical tactic.

Blogger Highlight-Divine Spirit

Thank you for all the great feedback on the Blogger Highlight series, I’ve enjoyed meeting each blogger and sharing their blog with you. This week we highlight Devine Spirit.

Divine Spirit

I am a wanderer, wandering aimlessly through oceans of thoughts, valleys of emotions and deserts of imagination. Writing is a newly unearthed passion of mine which I do on those moments when the duties of life and burdens of tasks had left me for a brief rest of their own. I live in a very rural village in a very tranquil territory with few people who I adore and enjoy being with.

On those moments when I get a little free time, my fellow beings can find me reading inspiring writings that helps to keep my head above the water in turbulent times. I am also an avid observer of human emotions and chooses observation over talking.

God is the most important part of life and I describe myself as a person bearing the sacred blessings of God.

~Devi Bhagavati

A brief about me and my blog:

I am Nita, a happy-go-lucky lady living in India, the land of Spirituality. I am a person, who is always silently looking out to the Universe looking for answers. Life in this world amazes me with its treasure of happiness, pain, and equal surprises finding its way to me. When everyday life and duties hold onto me, I sometimes have this unwavering desire to note down my thoughts that appear out of the blue and haunt the corners of my mind forever. In the blog, I am trying to find the answers to my innermost thoughts, bringing joy, bliss, and peace to my heart. I am grateful to all of you for being part of my soul’s journey to ultimate divinity.

Here is a link to a post she finds meaningful.

Her words are like a flowing river, calming and yet invigorating. Please stop by her blog and say hello.

Sending A Special Thanks To Mali, Russia, Brazil, Spain And Greece For Visiting

I love to see what countries visit my blog, it actually hits my travel desire. Each week I look further into countries I’m not familiar with and this week I took a closer look at Mali. Mali, is a landlocked country of western Africa, mostly in the Saharan and Sahelian regions. Mali is largely flat and arid. The Niger River flows through its interior, functioning as the main trading and transport artery in the country. Sections of the river flood periodically, providing much-needed fertile agricultural soil along its banks as well as creating pasture for livestock. Although Mali is one of the largest countries in Africa, it has a relatively small population, which is largely centered along the Niger River. Agriculture is the dominant economic sector in the country, with cotton production, cattle and camel herding, and fishing among the major activities.

St Petersburg, Russia will always have a special place in my heart, I loved the city’s deep history, the Cathedrals, the architecture, and above all the kindness of the people. I knew three words in Russian and the people who didn’t speak English, many of them, tried so hard to help me, taking extra time when I was lost or not able to find a museum I really wanted to see. The history of St. Petersburg is fascinating and at one time it served as the capital of Russia. The Hermitage Palace and museum is something everyone needs to see, it is mind-blowing and houses not only fine art but the greatest collection of Faberge Eggs

I visited Madrid, Spain in 1988 and it was my first international trip. I keep a photo of a couple performing with string puppets in the square on my bookcase. We made the trip to Toledo, A UNESCO World Heritage Site, which includes the Cathedral of Toledo and the Alcázar fortress. The Cathedral was reportedly built in the Middle Ages and is one of Spain’s most important Gothic structures. At the same time, the Alcázar fortress has played a significant role in Spanish history, serving as a royal palace, military fortification, and now a museum. The fort was a trip back in time, on the huge wooden doors you could see where it was hit with cannonballs. The architecture was undescribable and being on the river made it even more special. The locals were welcoming and tried to help me so hard when we were lost and I needed to go to the bathroom. Try to speak that in body language. The exquisite handmade Ladro porcelain pieces are made in Spain and I found a special one to bring my Granny. We also found a beautiful black plate with gold detailing, all made by hand.

Greece is high on my bucket list, with its deep history, magnificent blue water, cathedrals capped in blue, crazy uphill walking, and white-covered buildings and houses and the mob. I’ve read that mob still runs parts of the country although I bet they would prefer I not mention. Greece is also known for gold, when traveling you can pick up gold jewelry for a fraction of the price in America. There a plenty of shops to choose from and the designs are creative and playful. That’s just the tip of the iceberg that the Greek Islands are.

Brazil is on my travel bucket list, the country has so much to offer.

Statue of Peter the Great in St. Petersburg Square

Thank you so much for stopping by.

WordPress 15th Anniversary

Has it been 15 years? My original blog on WordPress was Defining Memories which I opened in 2005 and closed when I started Looking for the Light in 2014, that date is in question now. My archives show posts for Looking for the Light starting in 2014 however there are a few extra archives from Defining Memories.

During 2012-2013 I contributed to a toxic collaborative blog until I came to my senses and got the out of Sesspool. The blog may have been toxic but I met several people who are still a part of my life. Gavin from Noir is a dear friend and we talk almost every week, Gavin is an amazing human being and an excellent photographer. Daniel from Hyperion Sky is the best storyteller I’ve ever met and maybe read. He is currently supporting a family member with dementia and doesn’t post often and Army of Angles, she is not blogging at the moment.

In 2014 I was a co-founder of Survivors Blog Here, it was a collaborative site with many talented bloggers from all walks of life. It was all-consuming but it changed my life. It was closed and deleted this year.

The math doesn’t add up but close enough for me.

15 Year Anniversary Achievement

Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!

You registered on WordPress.com 15 years ago.

Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging.

Thanks to the support of many, I’m turning 61 years old and haven’t felt this good in years and I’m just getting started. Yes, I’ve slowed down for ongoing health issues and my mental health. Today I put my mental health at the top of the list, every day.

It’s been a wild ride filled with life’s journey, good and bad. Thank you for visiting my blog, following, and commenting, you’ve filled my life with joy.

To the special bloggers in my life, there are no words only gratitude. You’ve helped me grow, soften, and express myself, you’ve mentored me and best of all is the connection with you. :)

Push Back On Blogs Who Are Trying To Sell Or Scam You! Keep Your Comments In Moderation

The blogosphere has changed dramatically since I started in 2005, in many ways for the better, of course, there’s always the other side, the haters who love to rant away about who knows what and the ones who use blogs as a marketplace to sell their goods and it’s rampant with scammers. The way I protect myself is by putting all comments in moderation and choosing 100 days to keep them in moderation.

WordPress has a section that states it will block certain blogs, but it doesn’t work. There is no blocking people from visiting or commenting on your blog. There are some settings you can pick from, I chose to have people signed into WordPress, does this work, I’m not sure but it appears to. If a comment comes in and it’s spam I mark it as such, eventually it may get recognized as spam when it comes in. I check spam every day or so because good comments get sent to spam as well. I delete all spam permanently, that doesn’t really make a difference that I can see but it’s deleted anyway.

Only open a link in a comment if you have conversed with the person and feel a high level of confidence in the person.

We are on the internet, the vast space where everything published is there forever, once posted there’s no going back. That is why you don’t see a photo of me in my Gravatar. Any image posted can be manipulated and used in the most violating way you can imagine. I’m even more cognizant after having all of my personal information released in a data breach in January of this year. The information is on the dark web, whatever that is and I don’t want to know and it’s there waiting for people to take and try to steal my identity. It’s frightening and I have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life.

You can find anyone’s email very easily but it takes more savvy to find all the pieces of your life to do harm, and there are many ways to harm. Don’t obsess, it will only drive you down the rabbit hole, be vigilant and ask yourself, “Do I want to publish this?” I don’t go about life worried about anything, including my identity, it’s on me to be vigilant and work with the bank and any creditor in a hypervigilant way with their tools, keep an eye on my credit report, and double-check all my charges. I set my bank and credit card to $50, any charge over that sends me an email that a purchase was made. I’m not the breadwinner so I know exactly what charges are made. My husband has his own way of protecting our information.

Don’t let others control your life and cause you great frustration and fear. You control your own life to a point, what people do with your information is on them but you have to stay on top of it. It takes very little time after you set up systems to protect you.

Don’t engage with scammers, that’s a game to them. Don’t feed it, if you do you’re shooting yourself in the foot. Breathe, and let it go. When they get no response they will leave alone unless they are a stalker. In that case, it’s the same, don’t engage, and eventually the game will end. I’ve been stalked three times and I see my role in making the situation worse. I can only say that by looking back, in the moment our emotions get the best of us. that’s what we have control over. Be smart!

This is just a heads up, take what works for you.

CÔTÉ LUMIÈRE, LIGHT SIDE Is On My Bad Side, Why?

There was a time when I would have liked to have my post reblogged over and over. Today however I feel quite differently. I reblog as you know but I do it based on posts that hit the mark, have information I know you will enjoy and ones that move me deeply, and of course great photography but it’s not to build my blog. Building a community is more important than building a number, which frankly means nothing without engagement. I’ve encountered several bloggers in the past 4 months who build their blogs simply by reblogging other’s posts. To some that is cool but for me it’s not

I want people to connect with my post and reblog when it hits them, not every damn post.

WordPress doesn’t allow you to approve reblogs, you will get a comment showing it was reblogged and asking you to approve but it doesn’t mean anything because the post is already live on the other site. BIG FLAW, but let’s not go down the rabbit hole.

This is where Cote Lumiere, Light Side blog comes in, they have been reblogging all of my Blogger Highlight posts for a couple of months, they have never spoken to me and you can’t send them a message. When you try as I did yesterday, the message comes back to me. Below is a comment I sent them, of course, it came to me.

“I don’t think that building a blog on others’ work even when credit is given is cool. Please don’t reblog my post any longer or I will write a post and call you, especially for what you are doing with people’s content. The other blogs you repost from will not appreciate it and your followers if any will leave or they deserve you. Stop now!”

You may think my comment is harsh, and it is. While I am glad the bloggers from the Blogger Highlight series are getting exposure, they may not like this tactic either. People need to have a choice and that is not being given. Several months ago I thought about turning my reblog button off but that isn’t the way to tackle this issue. I love it when people connect with a post and want to share it and I love being able to do the same.

I’m not into numbers, only connections, great content. and learning.

They don’t follow me and won’t see this post but I wanted you to know this is happening and maybe happening to you. if you don’t mind, that’s cool, if you do, take action. At the moment I don’t feel WordPress offers any solution, just problems but I may come up with something so they will get my message. Nothing nasty or illegal, many something, maybe not.

Please share your thoughts, you may see an upside here.

1. If a zombie apocalypse would happen right this very minute, are you going to tweet about it? But seriously, are you going to fight or run? Why?

I’m running. I don’t know what Zombie’s can do so I’ll get out of there.

2. How would you spend a million dollars?

Make a contribution to charities I support. Then get on an airplane and see the world.

3. What thing would you want to change yourself?

I cuss too much, it’s a bad habit I’ve had since childhood.

4. What’s your Chinese birth year sign? I’m best suited for breeding.

5. If you could invent something, what is that? why?

This is hard, there so many. Clean drinking water to prevent children from dying of preventable diseases. I have to add a far-fetched invention. Magic fairy dust to have all wars stopped and peace around the world. I can always wish.

6. A gift that you would love to receive on your birthday?

A ticket around the world first class by myself and a guide. Traveling alone is the best way  To top the dream birthday, a new professional camera and gear. We can’t forget bug spray, tall very thick boots for snakes, and a gun to kill anything trying to take me down.

7. What is WordPress effect in your life and your message to me as your fellow blogger?

My life with WP is shaped by the people I meet. It’s great to meet people with similar interests to BS, and great writers to admire. I can reach out to people who are struggling and offer someone to talk to. My heart is filled with sunshine in many ways being in the WP family.

A message to fellow bloggers: Being rude to followers or responding to comments isn’t worth it. If you have a desire to grow your followers, thank each person for stopping by your site. Write for yourself, not for the number of followers.

The nominations have opened my mind and touched my soul. Congrats!
