My Brain Waves

I wore attachments on my head for three days. The straight lines are an indication something is wrong. I spent a year with a Neurologist as she tried to find out what was wrong with me. She had no idea, but doing searches based on the abnormal test results I figured it was Lyme and hated to be right.

Thank You To All My International Readers

Every day when I see the countries that have visited my blog, I’m grateful. It’s a moment with no walls. Most of us have never talked but I feel your soul. Some of us do talk every day but unless I go to your blog, I don’t know what country you are from.

Today someone from Ukraine stopped by and my heart went through the roof. With the destruction of the war and the toll on the people, I felt blessed that one person was able to put the war to the side for one minute. Thank you.

I want to shout out to the people of Ukraine, the bond, the strength, and most importantly helping each other, and not leaving their neighbors behind is enviable. Ukraine is a very special country and one day I would love to visit to feel your spirit. There is no doubt in my mind Ukraine will rebuild and be stronger for it. President Zelensky is one hell of a man and leader. I love his down-to-earth nature and visiting leaders in his camo! WOW. No pretenses from him. If only America would learn from him.

So far this year, 116 countries have visited my blog, that’s mind-blowing! Many countries surprise me, like China, Russia, and several Middle Eastern countries. Thank you for letting me in your life even for a few minutes.

2023 has been the most challenging for my health and each of you is like a shot in the arm, like medicine.

I’m sending the best wishes your way and praying for your health and happiness.

Do not touch Asp, their little hairs stick to your skin and it feels like you’re on fire. If you get touched by one, use tape to pull all the hairs out. And make sure it’s dead.

August 19th Is National Aviation Day

When you fly do ever think about the history of aviation? I don’t think about it when flying commercial but when I go small airport in the city, Dallas no less, and fly a small Cessna you think about it when you take off and have to take a sharp right to miss the skyscrapers nearby.

I was flying with my ex-husband and his instructor on one of his last check-out flights. His instructor told him to stall the plane. I was so scared, but trusted him to do it right. That is what he spent so many hours training for. Aviation is based on math skills, I learned the hard way when taking flight lessons myself. I failed the test, no surprise when it comes to math.

The next time you fly, think about the history of aviation and how far we’ve come. We don’t think about getting on a plane and there are plenty of planes for everyone.

I can’t let the day go by without thanking the aviators from years gone by for never giving up on making flying a dream come true.

National Aviation Day in the USA 2023

On August 19, National Aviation Day is celebrated across the United States. It is an annual national observance that honors the development of aviation.

The holiday was first observed in 1939, after the proclamation by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. August 19 was chosen on purpose because it is the anniversary of Orville Wright’s birthday. Orville was the younger of the Wright brothers, renowned American aviation pioneers. He was still alive when President first issued the proclamation.

Be sure to fly your flags on the 19th to show your support for Aviation and its history.
