Throw Back Thursday *Rocking your way to weekend*

I tapped the way back machine and found some goodies. Grab your beverage of choice, air guitar and killer headphones. Thinking about it, you might need two beverages to listen thru more than once.  XO Warrior

  2. Thanks, M….these are great choices. Love the take on “Numb”…always a favorite. And how I love what I used to think was called “Knights” in White Satin. Chillin’ here ….. Have a mellow Thursday ! ☺

    1. It might have been the extra’s in life that confused you to think Knights! That vs of Numb is great and several other are on the album, I won’t stop using that word. It was a concert by the who’s who of the who’s for Sandy Relief. The songs are all on YouTube. 12-12-12 you’ll get all the videos together. Some of the combo’s give me chills and most kick ass. Have a great holiday weekend unless in another country then just have a great weekend.
Honestly, one the Quote Challenge was mine corny? I’m a lay it out kind of person and if it’s personal I tell it to. I haven’t seen anyone do it that way. I don’t really care but for future reference.

          1. We are using the same turn table my husband got in the late 70’s…it’s a beauty, and we have pampered it over the years. Our kids were weaned on vinyl…and to them, cd’s are not as interesting. Peculiar ??

          2. My ex and I had a Macintosh? spelling, system and ? turntable but very nice. I loved to play DJ, we would relax over a bottle of wine and I would spin the tunes. Some people get it and others have a passion that makes my noise crinkle. I think we’re close to same age? I’m turning 52 in two weeks. I think we talked about but Lyme has taken 50-60% of my cognitive ability. Now it’s taking my eye sight. I’ve survived many painful things in life but I don’t have an idea how I would live blind. I pray God doesn’t have that in my future. We’re already looking for a one story house.
Thanks again for letting me word vomit on you.

          3. Not at all, M., and your words are perceived so very different than that to me. I’m glad you get to vent somewhere. I was watching an interview with Avril Lavigne where she feels she is about a year away from lyme recovery ??

          4. Avril had the typical problem, people are not diagnosed quickly enough. Fortunately she will recovery quicker than some. Lyme creates so many co-infections the longer you have. The tick borne illnesses target your major organs, each person is effected differently. Another reason it mocks most of the auto-immune diseases. Nobody wants organs attacked, the critters are attacking my brain. Doctors can’t tell you if the loss will return. I’ve been sick a long time and the doctor said it may take 5 more years. I can’t even think of 5 years. What choice do I have and we’re blessed to have great insurance and some money. In the next couple of months I will start infusion treatment which cost about 40K for 9 months. That doesn’t included all the supplies to do injections twice a day, the surgery and you still take some pills. I also have to find full time care since I can’t stay alone. There are many great videos on YouTube. I watched several people who had infusion treatment just to see what to expect.
Don’t forget it’s not just ticks and mosquitoes. Any critter that needs blood to live is a potential carrier. I look at my love of the outdoors different now. Use DEET for protection.
            Have a great day.

You must be on top of my mind, wishing you well. I realized I nominated you twice for the Quote Challenge. You can disregard one or both. Glad you liked the tunes. A lot of people are in our general age group so it’s much easier to guess what will work. I was blown away when the country week went wild. Just never know.

  3. Some good ones. Nice cover on Comfortably Numb. I can remember a lot of nights listening to the moody blues when I lived in an unfinished basement. When I say unfinished, I mean dirt walls and floor unfinished. That was fun but very cold in the winter..

    1. Mr Adventure, live in semi-nature. The Comfortably numb came from the Concert for Sandy Relief. David performed Brick in the Wall and maybe one other. They matched up some great artist. Eddie V sounded great. I was really into the Moody Blues, saw them in concert. I wanted a better Dobbie’s with Michael McDonald, but the sounds wasn’t great on live versions. You know I love my live music.
Doesn’t sound like this was one of my best. There’s always next week.
