Kevin Breel: Confessions of a Depressed Comic

I was Kevin’s age when diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. A lack of understanding and feelings of shame, I kept a lid on my problems, until boiling over. I did not accept my mental illness until my father committed suicide in 1992. His death sent me down a path of research and learning how to take charge of my medical care. I accept Bipolar Disorder is not curable at this time yet confident in the future.

    1. It’s the same for artist, I’ve heard of people allowing themselves to get manic because you’re heightened. Impressionist period is my fav art, many painters were mentally ill. Other than the fighter, how bites someone’s ear off. That could be to the determent, mania is glorified, it sounds great. As my dr says, the higher you go the further you fall. I know that for sure.
