Fact: The current American flag was designed by a high school student
It started as a school project for Bob Heft’s junior-year history class, and it only earned a B- in 1958. His design had 50 stars even though Alaska and Hawaii weren’t states yet. Hahah these are brilliant! You know, I keep thinking of funny memes of cows I’ve seen now and I’m getting them confused with horses. I never knew they didn’t have upper teeth at the front! I also had no idea the American flag was a history project – that kid should have got an A* and a couple of dollars. Imagine what that sort of thing would be worth these days. He would have been a millionaire. x
